Privacy
What this site stores, what its host and analytics see, and how to reach me.
This is a personal site. It has no accounts, no comments, no advertising and no tracking of individual visitors. Here is everything that touches your data.
Hosting
The site is static and served by GitHub Pages, with DNS by Cloudflare. Like any web host, they receive your IP address and request details when you load a page, and may keep standard server logs. I do not have access to those logs.
Analytics
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. Cloudflare describes it as privacy-first: it sets no cookies, does not use local storage for tracking and does not fingerprint visitors or build profiles across sites. I only see aggregate numbers such as page views, referrers and countries. No other analytics, advertising or tracking scripts run here.
Fonts
Headlines and text use Newsreader and IBM Plex Sans, loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
Stored in your browser
Two preferences are saved in your browser's local storage: the theme (light or dark) and the language you chose with the toggle. They never leave your device and carry no personal data. Clearing site data removes them.
If you write to hello@burakozkan.net, the message is forwarded to my personal mailbox. I use it only to reply, and I do not add anyone to a list. There is no newsletter at the moment.
